Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. It is thought to be an immune-mediated disorder, in which the immune system incorrectly attacks healthy tissue in the CNS. More than 2.3 million people are affected by MS worldwide.
Head coach Sam Kszepka's sister Kricket Anthes was diagnosed with the disease in September of last year. In support of the cause, the team will wear MADE STRONG shirts during pregame.
Donations will be accepted with money collected going towards the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to help find a cure. Anyone who gives a donation will receive an orange wristband with the words WE STAND TOGETHER.
