Elizabethtown, PA - The Juniata softball team hit the road to Elizabethtown for Landmark Conference play this Saturday against the Blue Jays.
In game one, the Eagles were defeated 4-0. First-year Cheyenne Silvis was on the bump, going 5.1 innings, giving up four earned runs while striking out four.
Juniata picked up five total hits in the contest, led by Ashley Robuck, who had two hits and a walk.
It was a scoreless game through five, until the Blue Jays tacked on all four of their runs in the 6th.
The Eagles picked it up in game two, defeating Elizabethtown 2-0.
A Claire Thomas double in the top of the 3rd drove in Lexi Roush and Eva Johnson for the only runs of the game.
Maddy Detz started on the hill for Juniata, going 2.0 innings of one-hit ball before Gracie Ruch took over, throwing five innings to complete the shutout.
Juniata will host Susquehanna this Wednesday at 3 PM and 5 PM.
