HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College women's basketball has jumped to No. 13 in both the D3hoops.com and the USA Today/ESPN Coaches polls, which were released Tuesday.
The Eagles, currently 15-1 overall and 5-0 in the Landmark Conference, posted double-digit road wins last week over Goucher College (79-50) and Catholic University of America (70-60). Juniata had been ranked No. 17 in last week's D3hoops.com poll and No. 15 in the USA Today/ESPN survey.
Coupled with the Juniata victories, Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Wisconsin-River Falls, Franklin College (Ind.), and Muhlenberg College – all of whom had been ranked ahead of Juniata in at least one of the two polls – all suffered losses over the last week.
Juniata is at home this weekend for a pair of Landmark Conference games against two of their toughest league rivals. The Eagles will host Moravian College on Friday, Jan. 20, at 7:30 p.m., while the University of Scranton will come to Huntingdon on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 4:00 p.m. Both games will take place at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
