HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College women's basketball moved up to No. 12 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll while holding steady at No. 13 in the D3hoops.com ranking, when both national polls were released on Tuesday.
The Eagles (17-1, 7-0 Landmark) took advantage of a loss by previously 12th-ranked Hope College to step up one spot in the poll, while winning home games against conference archrivals Moravian College and the University of Scranton.
With 126 points in the USA Today/ESPN ranking, Juniata was one point shy of matching Washington University (Mo.) in the No. 11 position.
Juniata remained fixed at No. 13 in the D3hoops.com poll as Wisconsin-Stevens Point jumped ahead of the Eagles, going from No. 15 in last week's poll to No. 12 this week.
Juniata heads onto the road for a pair of Landmark Conference games this weekend. The Eagles will face Drew University on Friday, Jan. 27, at 5:30 p.m. in Madison, N.J., followed by a matchup with the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 2:00 p.m. in Kings Point, N.Y.
