Women's Golf Battles at Day One of Landmarks
Delaware, Pa.- Women's golf took on the Landmark Conference Championships at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort at Shawnee on the Delaware today, finishing day one shooting 425 as a squad. That places them in eighth going into day two.
Lily Stewart led the way for the Eagles, shooting 95 on a challenging course. Stewart shot 43 on the back, which was a nine-shot improvement, putting her in T23. Molly Schweitzer followed up Stewart, shooting an even 100 on the day. Schweitzer snagged a solo 28th-place finish on day one, along with three pars.
Kylee Marshall was forced to withdraw due to injury, unfortunately.
Next for the Eagles was Madeline Bainey, as she shot 110 on a challenging track. Bainey finished T39 with a good finish to her second nine holes.
Sandy Milby finished up in 42nd place, shooting 120. Milby will look to climb the leaderboard tomorrow.
The Eagles will tee off starting at 11:15 tomorrow at Shawnee.
