Women's Golf Snags Third Place at The Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic
Sinking Valley, Pa. - Women's Golf started out their season at Sinking Valley Country Club on a wonderful day two. The course played as a par 72 to a distance of 5,605 yards at the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic. The Eagles shot 383 in a "five, count four scores" format, to put them firmly in third place after day one. They followed up on day two, shooting 400 as a team.
Madeline Bainey led the Eagles today with three pars, shooting 97 for the second day in a row. After shooting 47 on the front nine, Bainey secured a T11th finish. Jazmine Boland continued her collegiate debut by shooting 101. Boland went only 12 over in her last 12 holes to finish T13 for her first tournament. Molly Schweitzer finished T11 to start her sophomore year at the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic. Schweitzer finished the day with a 101 and two pars on the back nine. Lily Stewart matched her teammates, shooting 101 in breezy conditions. Stewart made a nice birdie on the tenth hole to highlight her day. Kylee Marshall rounded out the five starters for the Eagles today, matching her first day score of 107. Izzy Slagle improved by three shots, shooting 110 at Sinking Valley.
The Eagles continue to play tomorrow at Hershey Country Club, teeing off at 11:00 AM in a shotgun format.
