Women's Golf Fights Wind in Hagerstown
Hagerstown, Md.- Women's Golf took the team down to Hagerstown today to compete in the Cardinal Classic at Black Rock Golf Club alongside a field of nine teams. Juniata would go on to finish day one in eighth.
Lily Stewart paced the Eagles with a team-low 92, earning a T33 finish in a strong field. Stewart's round featured a 45 on the front nine and a 47 on the back, highlighted by steady play and several well-timed pars that anchored her score. Close behind was Jazmine Boland, who turned in a 94 to place 36th overall. Boland showed consistency with matching 47s on each nine, finding a rhythm early and maintaining her composure throughout the round. Kylee Marshall followed with a 96, finishing 39th. Marshall produced identical 48s on both sides, mixing in solid approaches and determined play to keep her round steady from start to finish. Madeline Bainey recorded a 100 to claim 40th place. Bainey's round included a pair of 50s, marked by stretches of composed play and perseverance across the demanding course. Rounding out the lineup, Molly Schweitzer posted a 106 to finish T42. Schweitzer battled through a challenging front nine and responded with resilience on the back, closing out her round with determination.
The Eagles look to respond tomorrow at 9:30 when they tee off again down in Hagerstown.
