Women's Golf Lands in Eighth to Conclude the Cardinal Classic
Hagerstown, Md.- Women's Golf took the team down to Hagerstown today to finish up in the Cardinal Classic at Black Rock Golf Club alongside a field of nine teams. Juniata, after typing their team record of 382 the day before, followed it up with a 393 to maintain eighth place.
Lily Stewart yet again paced the Eagles, following up her 92 with an 89 in sunny weather down in Hagerstown. Stewart grabbed the only birdie of the day for the Eagles on the par four, eighth hole, to snag a solo 32nd place finish. Not far off was Jazmine Boland, who turned in a 94 on day one, following it up with a 103. Boland finished the tournament in T38 position, finishing 57 over par for the weekend. Kylee Marshall clawed up a spot on the leaderboard today, finishing in a tie for 38th place. Marshall produced a 101 on a hot, sunny day with a par on the seventh hole. Madeline Bainey improved by one shot today to shoot 99 on a course with a lot of forced carries. Bainey shot 48 on the front and would go on to finish in 40th place. Rounding out the lineup, Molly Schweitzer bagged a 99, showing a seven-shot improvement on the day before. She would go on to finish in 42nd place, making a drastic climb on the leaderboard.
The Eagles play next on Tuesday, October 7th, at the Alvernia Fall Invite at Ledgerock Golf Course
