HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College's Paula Pryor (Westbrookville, N.Y./Burke Catholic) has been named Landmark Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for week ending October 23, 2011.
Pryor, a sophomore forward, scored all of Juniata's goals while leading the Eagles to a win and a tie in Landmark play last week.
She had the lone Juniata goal in a 1-1 tie against arch-rival Susquehanna University, scoring in the 15th minute off an assist from Lauren Liacouras (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley). Pryor then sealed the Eagles' 1-0 win over Drew University, netting the game winner with just three seconds remaining in the first half. Jenna Rodrigue (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) was credited with the assist on Pryor's first game-winning goal of the season.
Pryor currently has a team-best four goals this season, and is tied for second on the team with eight points.
Juniata (5-8-2, 1-3-1 Landmark) closes out the regular season this week at Pitt-Bradford on Tuesday, Oct. 25, followed by a home conference game on Saturday, Oct. 29, against the University of Scranton.
