TOWSON, Md. – The Juniata College women's soccer team couldn't get their offense going against Goucher College Saturday afternoon as they fell 5-0 on the road in their Landmark Conference opener.
The Eagles (6-3-1, 0-1 Landmark) were down 2-0 at the half off two Sherlanda Buskey goals.
Despite picking up their offensive pressure by doubling the number of shots taken, Juniata could not find an answer for Buskey who put in another goal for the hat trick and assisted the next goal midway through the second half.
Goucher (9-1, 1-1 Landmark) only outshot the Eagles by two (11-9).
Juniata will stay on the road, traveling to McDaniel College on Monday, Oct. 1 for a 4 p.m. match. This will be the Eagles last non-conference matchup before heading deep into Landmark Conference competition.
