Szczur Earns ECAC South Co-Defensive Player of the Week Honors
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Junior Katie Szczur (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) was named Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) South co-defensive player of the week for women’s soccer, the league announced Tuesday evening.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Junior Katie Szczur (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) was named Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) South co-defensive player of the week for women's soccer, the league announced Tuesday evening. She anchored the Juniata defense, which shut out Saint Vincent College and held the Bearcats to just eight shots in the Eagles 2-0 mid-week victory. Szczur netted her first career goal on an unassisted corner kick for the game winner in Juniata's 4-1 win over Lycoming College.
