BALTIMORE, Md.- The Juniata women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Goucher, Saturday afternoon at Beldon Field.
In the 29th minute Talia Bertrando (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick High School) got a shot off towards goal but it was wide of the mark.
Nine minutes later the Gophers broke through and took a 1-0 lead in the locker room at halftime.
Goucher outshot the Eagles 6-1 in the first half.
The Gophers doubled their lead in the 56th minute and controlled the game for the remaining part of the game as the won 2-0.
Goucher held an 8-1 edge in shots while the Eagles held a 3-2 advantage in corners.
The Eagles will take on Susquehanna, Wednesday at 7:00.
