SCRANTON, Pa.- The Juniata women's soccer team lost on the road at the University of Scranton, 4-0, Saturday afternoon.
Sarah Betts made 13 saves in net for JC.
The hosts found the back of the Juniata net in the ninth minute and again in the 26th minute as they led 2-0 at halftime. Scranton held a 13-0 advantage in shots.
The Eagles managed to fend off the Royals for the first 25 minutes of the second half, but the Royals would not be denied as they added two more over a nine-minute span late in the second half to complete the scoring.
Juniata returns to action at home this Wednesday when they host Susquehanna at 7:00.
