Baltimore, Md. – Juniata women's soccer earned its first Landmark Conference win of the season in dominant fashion, defeating Goucher 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Beldon Field.
The Eagles controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting the Gophers 22-3 and holding a 15-0 edge in corner kicks. Naomi Rich opened the scoring in the 28th minute to give Juniata the early lead.
Just five minutes later, Grace Uhler doubled the advantage with another unassisted goal, sending the Eagles into halftime up 2-0.
In the second half, Kylie Dries capped off the performance with a goal in the 55th minute, extending Juniata's lead to 3-0.
Defensively, the Eagles were rock solid, allowing just one shot on goal. Goalkeeper Emma Stiller earned the shutout with one save in 90 minutes of play.
With the win, Juniata improves to 5-3-4 overall and 1-1 in Landmark play. The Eagles will look to carry their momentum into their next conference matchup as they continue their push toward postseason contention.
