HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's soccer team lost to the University of Scranton (11-2-2, 6-0), Saturday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.
Scranton scored 26 seconds into the match, as a low cross from the left endline was smacked into the top of the net.
The Royals held a 6-0 advantage in shots at the half, and 2-0 in corner kicks.
In the 58th minute, a cross from the right side saw the Royals first to the ball, and they put it in the roof of the Eagle net to double their lead.
In the final seconds of the game, Addison Van Lenten of Scranton got to a loose ball following a corner and one-timed a high-arcing shot into the left top corner to complete the scoring.
Emma Stiller made one save in goal for the Eagles.
Juniata will travel to play at Lycoming, Tuesday at 7:00
