MADISON, N.J.- The Juniata women's soccer team suffered a difficult 1-0 loss at Drew University, Saturday afternoon at Ranger Stadium.
Emma Stiller made three saves in goal for the Eagles.
Juniata found themselves absorbing pressure from Drew as the hosts had a 6-1 shot advantage and a 4-0 edge in corner kicks in the first half.
The game opened up in the second half with the Eagles managing six shots, including three on frame by Abby Sweeney, Savanna Murray, and Camille McRoberts, but the Ranger keeper managed to keep them all out.
In the 81st minute, the Rangers got to a loose ball on the endline and played it back across the goalmouth. The ball rolled narrowly passed the outstretched arms of Stiller to a Ranger forward who smashed the ball into the roof of the net.
Murray's attempt came right after, in the 84th minute, a left-footed shot from outside the box that the keeper caught with two hands.
The Eagles will close the regular season at the Catholic University of America, Tuesday at 7:00.
