Last season, Juniata put together one of the best records in program history and earned the fourth playoff spot in the Landmark tournament for the second straight season. Seniors Cara Stough (Freindsville, MD / Northern Garrett) and Heather Waring (San Antonio, TX / John Jay) lead the way this season, as the Eagles look to reach the conference playoffs yet again. Waring earned First-Team All-Conference doubles and Second-Team All-Conference singles honors last season.
Enterring his fourth season as head coach, Jason Cohen is excited to see how his team performs in 2015, "This is the hardest working team I have ever coached, period." Cohen touched on the rankings and their possible effects on the team, "We have goals set for this season and based on the poll results, other coaches believe we won't reach our goals. This is a team that didn't necessarily need any more motivation, but now we have it. We're going to go out there this year and prove everybody worng, just as we have done before."
The women host Catholic in a home match on March 21st to start conference play. The Landmark tournament will begin on April 29th, with the two advancing teams competing for a conference title on May 2nd. The Eagles travel to Salisbury on Saturday, February 21st for their first match of the season.
