SCRANTON, Pa. – The Juniata women's tennis team fell to conference opponent Scranton 9-0 Sunday afternoon.

Starting in doubles play, Maggie Ackley and Marta Celebic fell to their opponents 8-2 in first doubles, and Immy Ramsdale and Olivia Cooley came up short 8-3 in second doubles.

Moving to the singles matches, Laura Julien was blanked 6-0, 6-0 in fifth doubles, and Ackley was beaten 8-0 in first singles. In second singles, Celebic was swept 8-0, and Ramsdale fell 8-0 in third doubles. Cooley put up a battle but fell 8-4 in fourth singles.

The Eagles travel to Penn State Altoona for a Wednesday match starting at 4:30 pm.
