TOWSON, Md. – The women's tennis team lost a nailbiter of a match 5-4 against Goucher at Schroedl Tennis Center.

In first doubles, Medina Yessenaliyeva and Celia Navarro de Torres beat their opponents 8-5. Marilyn Ogof and Charley Madlock fell 8-2 in second doubles and Maggie Ackley and Shveta Kalathur lost 4-8 in third doubles.

Yessenaliyeva and Navarro won in first singles as well, 6-1, 6-4 and 7-5, 1-6, 10-8 respectively. Ackley took down her Gopher opponent 6-4, 2-6, 12-10 in fourth sinlges, but Madlock fell 2-6, 0-6 in fourth singles. Ogof dropped 0-6 and 1-6 in fifth singles and Kalthur lost 0-6, 1-6.

The Eagles take a trip to Susquehanna tomorrow at 1:00 pm.
