HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Landmark Conference announced the indoor track & field awards, including the All-Landmark teams Tuesday morning. The Juniata College women's team had seven student-athletes earn All-Conference honors, including six first time honorees.
Senior Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) headlines the Eagles on the list after being named to the First Team twice for her wins in the 3000 meters and 5000 meters. Woods broke her own school record in the 5000 meters, winning the event in a time of 18:26.37. Woods claimed victory in the 3000 meters in 10:52.43. Woods has been named to the indoor track & field All-Landmark team for all four years of her career. This is her third time earning All-Conference honors in the 5000 meters, after being named to the Second Team in 2012 and the First Team in 2013.
Joining Woods on the First Team is freshman Katelyn Fisher (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena), who won the high jump at a height of 1.47 meters.
Senior Paula Pryor (Westbrookville, N.Y./Burke Catholic) set a new school record en route to taking second in the 400 meters at Saturday's championship meet, placing her on the Second Team. The distance medley relay team finished second overall, giving junior Emily Wolf (York, Pa./Central York), sophomore Erin Gaines (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport High School), sophomore Jecenia Duran (Temple, Pa./Olley Valley), and junior Alyssa Cousins (Lemont, Pa./State College Area) Second Team All-Landmark honors.
First Team All-Landmark honors are awarded to first place finishers at the Landmark Championships. Those who finish second earn Second Team All-Landmark recognition. To see the full Landmark release, click here.
