French Clocks 26.13 PR in 200m as Juniata Women Compete at Landmark Championship
SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. – The Juniata women's track and field team turned in several strong performances at the Landmark Championships hosted by Susquehanna on Saturday afternoon.
Gracie French (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area Senior HS) led Juniata in the 100 meters, placing ninth in 12.80 seconds. Breanne Spencer (Grampian, Pa. / Curwensville Area HS) followed in 13.02 for 11th place.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Josie Kelly (York, Pa. / Kennard-Dale HS) ran a personal best 17.66 to finish 16th, while Rebecca Mensch clocked 18.57 to take 19th.
French also stood out in the 200 meters, posting a personal-best time of 26.13 to finish ninth. Spencer recorded a PR of her own with a 27.11 to place 19th.
In the 1500 meters, Camille McRoberts (Canton, Pa. / Canton HS) ran a personal-best time of 5:03.95 to finish 11th overall.
In field events, Olivia Barbacci (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley HS) took second in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.40m. Kelly also competed, placing ninth with a mark of 2.80m.
French added a ninth-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.25m. Spencer jumped 4.85m to claim 15th.
Chloe Sauer (Middleburg, Pa. / Midd-West HS) highlighted the throws with a 36.56m effort in the hammer, placing 19th. She also led Juniata in the shot put with a 10.85m mark to take ninth, while Emma Coolidge (Wellsboro, Pa. / Wellsboro Area HS) threw 10.31m for 14th place.
