Five Qualify for AARTFC Regionals at Susquehanna Valentine Invite
Selinsgrove, Pa. – The Juniata College women's track and field team delivered a strong showing at the Susquehanna Valentine Invite. A total of five different people were able to qualify for the AARTFC meet later this month.
Juniata opened the meet in the 4x200-meter relay, where Zoey Zavorotny, Gracie French, Haley Mummah, and Bre Spencer combined for a fifth-place finish with a time of 1:51.96. This time would help the Eagles earn a selection to the AARTFC meet.
In the sprints, the Eagles had an impressive presence in the 60 meters, advancing three athletes to the final. Gracie French placed third overall with a time of 8.04 seconds, while Zoey Zavorotny finished in ninth in 8.26, and Bre Spencer followed closely in 20th at 8.48. French advanced to the final and earned her second AARTFC selection.
Camille McRoberts secured a strong showing in the 800m, placing 5th in her heat and advancing to the final. She would go on to finish 5th overall in the final with a time of 2:32.23.
In the 3,000 meters, Olivia Brenneman paced the Eagles, crossing the line in 11:35.09 to finish tenth overall.
Ella McCrum highlighted the meet for the Eagles by winning the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:33.39. She earned the Eagles' fifth and final AARTFC selection of the meet.
