Eagles Slot In At No. 11 In AVCA Weekly Poll
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College women’s volleyball team ranks 11th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) national poll, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles are coming of a 3-1 week in which they swept Landmark Conference play and clinched the No. 1 seed in the post-season tournament.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College women's volleyball team ranks 11th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) national poll, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles are coming of a 3-1 week in which they swept Landmark Conference play and clinched the No. 1 seed in the post-season tournament.
"It really only matters what we do and that we're prepared to play this time of year," said head coach Heather Pavlik. "I think this team is getting prepared to play some good ball. We have two solid weekends of competition, which should make us better going into playoffs. In the end that's all that really matters."
Juniata hosts the programs' annual Wid Guisler Invitational this weekend. The Eagles will face off against Johns Hopkins on Friday at 7 p.m. followed by bouts with DeSales and Carnegie Mellon on Saturday, at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. respectively.
