Gearhart Named Landmark Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, MD – Junior middle hitter Nakita Gearhart (Waynesboro, PA / Greencastle-Antrim) was named Landmark Athlete of the Week for her strong performances at the season opener against St. Vincent and at the Wittenberg Invitational.

TOWSON, MD – Junior middle hitter Nakita Gearhart (Waynesboro, PA / Greencastle-Antrim) was named Landmark Athlete of the Week for her strong performances at the season opener against St. Vincent and at the Wittenberg Invitational. This is her second athlete of the week award through the conference.

Gearhart totaled 37 kills over 13 sets and made 87 total attacks for a hitting percentage of .341. She recorded 13 totals blocks and 13 digs. She leads Juniata in total kills, attacks and blocks this season.

Her performance helped push Juniata past No. 4 Wittenberg after being down two sets. 

Gearhart was also named to the All-Tournament Team at Wittenberg.
