Coley Named Landmark Female Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year Finalist
TOWSON, MD.- The Landmark Conference announced four finalists for the 2024-25 Female Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year Award and Juniata College women's volleyball standout Mackenzie Coley was among the four finalists.
The senior from Norco, Calif. graduated with a marketing degree with a 3.66 grade point average and a minor in management. She has earned three College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District and Academic All-America honors (2022, 2023, 2024). She is a member of Tau Pi Phi, the national business honor society, and has been named to the Dean's List four times.
Coley was a cornerstone of Juniata's volleyball dynasty, helping the Eagles capture three straight NCAA Division III National Championships (2022, 2023, 2024) and four consecutive Landmark Conference titles (2021–2024). Individually, Coley was a three-time AVCA All-American, a former AVCA Region 5 Player of the Year, the 2023 Landmark Conference Volleyball Player of the Year, and a four-time All-Landmark selection. She was named the 2024 NCAA Division III Volleyball Huntingdon Regional Most Outstanding Player and earned NCAA All-Tournament Team honors.
Off the court, Coley has shown tremendous leadership and service. She served as a team lead for the Special Olympics Fall Sectional, actively participates in Big Brothers Big Sisters, and is a contributing member of Juniata's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Finalists are selected from the conference's Senior Scholar-Athletes of the Year in each sport from the academic year. The league's overall Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be chosen from the four finalists and will also be submitted for consideration for the Division III Commissioners Association (DIIICA) National Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
This award recognizes a graduating senior who has demonstrated exceptional achievement in academics, athletics, leadership, and community service during their collegiate career.
