Rushing Named AVCA National Player of the Week
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Juniata women's volleyball standout Isabella Rushing has been named the Division III National Player of the Week, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Rushing was dominant on the back line and from the service line in a 3–0 week for the fifth-ranked Eagles. She averaged 6.13 digs per set for a total of 49 and delivered 11 aces against Elizabethtown, setting single-match program and Landmark Conference records. She followed that with a 29-dig effort—also a career high—at Elizabethtown. Juniata improved to 20–2 overall and 7–0 in Landmark Conference play.
This marks the 16th AVCA National Player of the Week selection in program history, dating back to 1993.
The Eagles return home to host Moravian on Senior night Friday evening.
