Women’s Cross Country Shows Promise Across 6K and 4K Races
Newville, PA - Juniata women's cross country delivered encouraging performances in both the 6k and 4k races, with several runners posting season-best efforts and strong finishes.
In the 6k, sophomore Olivia Brenneman led the Eagles with a 26:50.3 time, finishing 67th overall. First-year Sophia Moyer was right on her heels in 68th at 26:56.9, and fellow first-year Gracie Gioiosa crossed in 27:41.4 to take 80th. Sophomore Chloe Reilley (29:02.9) and first-year Paige Clemmer (31:23.2) rounded out the team's scoring five.
The Eagles were also represented in the women's 4k by junior Justice Sheaffer, who placed 101st, and first-year Abby Rivera Concepcion, who finished 103rd.
The Eagles will next compete at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on October 3rd.
