DAVENPORT, Fl.- The Juniata baseball team defeated Suffolk 8-3, Tuesday afternoon.
Jace Irvin and Ricky Scott drove in runs in the bottom half of the first to get the Eagles on the board.
The Rams got one back in the third, before Matthew Quigley drove in Jackson Cunnane with an RBI double to left to make it 3-1.
A two-run double pulled the Rams even, before Zach Johnston's rbi-double to right center pushed Juniata back ahead.
Juniata plated three runs in the seventh behind RBI from Scott and Quigley. Quigley later scored on an error.
Johnston scored on a wild pitch in the eighth to complete the scoreline.
Johnston, Cunnane, Scott, Quigley and Jacob Despot each notched two hits in the game. Cunnane had two doubles and scored twice, while Johnston had a double, an RBI and scored twice.
Connor Blough got the win, throwing six innings while allowing three runs on eight hits with five strikeouts. Ben Ryan tossed three innings while allowing no hits to get the save.
Juniata will take Gordon on at 1:00.
