Eagles Dominate Owls
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team dominated visiting Bryn Mawr College, 22-2, on a lightning-delayed Wednesday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.
Skyler Stevens led the way with five goals, three assists, two caused turnovers, and three ground balls. Emily Kemmer totaled five goals and a draw control, while Mara Gallo had four goals, a ground ball, and a draw control. Ella McGlaughlin tallied five goals and a ground ball, while Elayna Stubbe had two goals, two assists, a ground ball, a draw control, and a caused turnover. Devyn Mauger added a goal, 12 draw controls, five ground balls, and a caused turnover. Kyra Shipley had one assist, three caused turnovers, and three ground balls, while Mikayla Bodley had an assist, three ground balls, two draw controls, and a caused turnover.
Mauger tied the program record for draw controls, tying Peyton Goodrich's 12 from 2023 against Lancaster Bibile.
Caoilinn Heatley got the win, while Francesca Ditsky handled goalkeeping duties in the second half.
The Owls scored the opening goal of the game less than a minute in. The Eagles responded with 11 straight goals in the rest of the quarter, with Kemmer and Stevens each scoring three times.
Juniata tallied four more in the second and led 15-1 at the half.
The Eagles outscored Bryn Mawr 7-1 in the second half to complete the scoring.
They have a quick turnaround, as they will host Marywood on Friday at 5:00.
