HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team lost at home to visiting Drew University, 19-10, Saturday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.
Elayna Stubbe led the way with three goals and two assists, with five draw controls, two caused turnovers, and two ground balls. Ella McGlaughlin added four goals while Skyler Stevens contributed three goals. Francesca Ditsky made nine saves in goal for the Eagles while Caoilinn Heatley made five.
McGlaughlin and Stevens scored on either side of a Ranger goal in the first two minutes of the game to give JC an early lead. Drew responded by scoring the next six goals of the game, as Juniata trailed 7-2 early in the second quarter. Stubbe found McGalughlin for her second, and the sophomore attacker added another to slice the deficit to four. Drew tacked on the final two goals of the half as Juniata was behind 10-4 at halftime.
Juniata battled hard but was outscored 9-6 in the second half.
The Eagles will conclude their season on the road as they travel to take on the Catholic University of America, Wednesday at 6:00.
